Nurturing touch is something that every body at any age needs.
For young children
Let children experience nurturing touch and learn to give a massage to each other.
The Massage in Schools Programme is an international programme and is designed to provide nurturing touch to children in the classroom. Children from the age of 4 to 12 years of age are instructed in a very simple, clothed massage routine. Children learn to give a massage to each other.
This routine can also be taught to parents and children in a community setting.
Using massage reduces stress in the classroom. Children say they feel more relaxed. Teachers report that children are less aggressive to one another and there is less bullying.

For older children/adolescents
Older children can learn a simple self-massage routine to help ease the tension that tends to develop in their neck and shoulders. Simple stretches are also shown.
